The ‘SITE4Society SDG Brief’ series was conceived and developed by Prof. Ramani, Dr. Nanditha Mathew and Mr. Anurag Kanaujia in 2017. They are summaries of prior published work (articles, books, chapters, conference presentations) contributing to one or more SDGs, designed to be diffused among a larger community. Each ‘SITE4Society SDG Brief’ presents the essential details of a publication: the motivation for the research, the research design, main findings and policy recommendations within 1000-1500 words. The briefs can be read within 5 minutes using a computer or a mobile phone.
Our focus is on the SITE variables i.e. science, innovation, infrastructure, technology and engagement (via entrepreneurship and/or governance) that can serve National Missions of countries and attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Our motivation? We want to BRIDGE the KNOWLEDGE DIVIDE between those who have access to the latest articles especially in international journals and those who don’t. We want to BRIDGE the GAP between academics and society. At the same time, we want to provide access to peer-reviewed, (and hence likely to true) narratives to all in our Post-Truth world.
